BIO

Lucia Mauri was born in Cesena in 1995, is a dancer, researcher, and teacher based between Linz, Milan and Essen.
She graduated in 2017 from the Teatrodanza course at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan.
In 2016 he founded Compagnia La Lucina, a multidisciplinary company that works on body, theatre, and video art.

She holds a Master's in Movement Research at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversity Linz with the topic Eyes/Gaze/Look: from theoretical definition to performance practice. 
In 2019 she participated in the project Declinazioni by Ariella Vidach and Studio Azzurro, in the same year she won a scholarship for the project ALPHABET&ULTRA by gruppo nanou as part of the Festival Ammutinamenti, with Marco Valerio Amico, Masako Matsushita, Daniele Albanese, Michele Mele and Chiara Lagani. 
She took part in the 2021 edition of Nuove Traiettorie XL - training paths for young authors | Network Anticorpi XL action coordinated by Associazione Cantieri Danza" with the piece fuoricampo. 

Over the years she has been a choreographer in the shows: "Epiphora" in collaboration with composer Claudia Canamero Ballestar; "fuoricampo" with Compagnia La Lucina" and "LEKANI" with Alejandra Benet, Ariathney Coyne, and Sara Koniarek for Ars Electronica Festival. She has danced for Claudia Bosse, Marcela Maria Morales and Martina De Dominicis.

Her piece out of sight, out of mind?  is supported by Ariella Vidach Aiep, Bruckner University and Liz King's d.identity Eisenstadt.

She collaborated with Martina Winkler, Barbara Novotny and Esrap for Zirkus Des Wissen Linz. 

Teacher of Teacher for Austria -Linz and GYROKINESIS® method from 2022.

In 2024 is Assistant of Claudia Bosse for PPSextended in the project HAUNTED LANDSCAPES on an unseen wasteland.
